Why Can’t I Lose Weight?
You might be asking yourself – why can’t I lose weight? There’s a simple and honest answer – you’re not wanting to lose it and you’re not doing what you need to do to lose it.
That’s straight and to the point – blunt. Beating around the bush is useless and doesn’t serve any good purpose.
You have to make your mind up that you want to do what you need to do to lose the weight. It’s not an easy thing stepping out of our comfort zone – giving up the food we love (but that doesn’t love us), and getting off our ends and moving.
A lot of the reason we eat the way we do is pure habit. Maybe we were raised to eat a certain way, or maybe we did it out of convenience (junk food is faster and easier usually). The trick is to break the bad eating habits and you will start to see much better health and weight loss.
You have to figure out what you’re eating and drinking, then do away with stuff that’s loaded with calories – like regular white bread, pasta, sweets, regular soda, sugar, battered and fried foods, junk food and fast food, lunch meat, a lot of pre-made foods, etc.
You may be wondering what’s left to eat. Plenty! Here’s a weight loss motivation tip – if it’s not something grown or raised, leave it on the store shelf. That’s my weight loss help idea of the day! 🙂
In line with the weight loss motivation, this is what I’ve eaten today (it’s not yet 3 PM as of this writing) – a can of sliced carrots – less than 100 calories. And of course my can of Pepsi Next (60 calories). Am I hungry? No – because I ate a can of carrots (just finished it, actually). I will have a cup or rice with a tad of ground chuck mixed in later this evening (about 500 calories). My total calories for the day will under 1000.
Oh, and I almost forgot this! I found a really helpful site called CalorieKing that tells you how many calories are in foods. Click the thumbnails to see the full size graphics.
Plus when you put in for a particular food, it will not only show you how many calories are in that food, it also shows you what you can do to lose that many calories. Like, for example, a cup of strawberries is 46 calories. Then it shows you how long to walk, jog, swim, or cycle to burn 46 calories.
And it shows you the nutrition facts for that food. It’s a pretty handy tool to use.
Also, that banner at the top of this post is offering a free week so check them out (and they are super inexpensive after the free week). More weight loss motivation that’s really helpful in so many ways. You just have to go see it all to fully grasp the support!
So, if you are asking yourself why can’t I lose weight, hopefully this will weight loss help will motivate you.
